Superior driving dynamics through data-driven engineering

In today's development of driving dynamics for super sports cars, the crucial question is not whether data is available, but rather how precisely it is captured and how it is used. While conventional approaches provide a foundation, they are restricted by the physical limits of performance since they often rely on static models.

Our data-driven approach aims to expand this foundation: we supplement proven models with an objective, dynamic data base in real time. In this way, we create the precise knowledge foundation that is necessary to not only achieve the limits of driving dynamics, but also to manage them safely, reproducibly, and in keeping with your brand DNA.

The performance gap: untapped potential due to static assumptions

Without an exact, dynamic data base, even the best approach can lead to performance losses, for example due to:

  • Grip assumptions: without knowledge of the actual tire condition (e.g., temperature, wear), control systems work with large safety margins. Valuable performance remains untapped.
  • Lack of system intelligence: data is often only viewed in isolation within individual domains. The crucial interplay and systemic potential go unrecognized.

Our approach: from systems thinking to data-based truth

Our core competence is sensor fusion – the smart interlinking of data across all relevant domain boundaries. We orchestrate information from the chassis, powertrain, brake, and surround sensors to develop a holistic understanding of the vehicle state.

To further sharpen this holistic understanding, we use additional data such as that provided by highly innovative tire sensors.

A key example is our collaboration with Pirelli Cyber™ Tyre: in this case, exclusive data is generated that allows us to replace assumptions with precise measurements.

From values to data-based performance: data collection, fusion, and grip calculation

  • Tire Information
Direct data from the contact point: a sensor with a "Tyre ID" integrated into the tire provides exact live data on the tire type (e.g., summer tire, semi-slick), size, temperature, and pressure.
  • Data processing
Model-based intelligence: this exclusive data is fused with the other vehicle data. Our algorithms use this to calculate crucial, previously only generic or estimated variables – such as the exact, currently available grip level.
  • Glas vehicle
The systemic approach creates a 360° situational overview in real time, and this serves as the foundation for knowing – rather than merely estimating – the true physical limits, and thus sharpening vehicle behavior.

The basis of your brand signature: calibrate what performance means to you

This precise data base provides the foundation on which you can build your brand's performance philosophy. It gives you control to resolve critical trade-offs in high-performance applications:

Maximum lap time vs. consistency

Should the system optimize all parameters for one ultimately fast lap? Or should it control the tire and temperature management such that consistently high performance can be reproduced across multiple laps?

Pure feedback vs. stability

Should the chassis transmit every bump directly to the driver for a purist, unfiltered feel? Or should it filter out road unevenness in a targeted manner to make the vehicle calmer, more stable, and more predictable at the limit?

Where untapped potential becomes measurable performance.
